Additional iteration, changes, or services beyond will be billed at an hourly rate. These additional documents may include but are not limited to electrical diagrams, plumbing diagrams, elevations, 3D views/renderings, reflected ceiling plans, and site plans. Please consider that great design is the product of iteration. There are usually many ways to arrive at a solution, and we will try our best to be a great steward of your budget and design intent. In some cases, particularly with additions, pop-ups, or pop-outs, floor plans alone will not be enough information for a permit set. Additional information may need to be produced and will be completed at your request at an hourly rate. These may include but are not limited to footing details, elevations, roof framing plans, floor framing plans, wall sections, site plans, et. al. For exterior additions, a survey may be required for permitting. It is preferred that the client have a survey before design commences, however in some cases it may be preferable to the client to proceed with design in order to prove the concept first. There is risk involved in this order of operation as there could be information provided in the survey that may change or prohibit the final design. SketchHaus by Taylor Workshop does not assume this risk or the liabilities caused by it. Structural engineerings, MEP engineering, surveys, or civil engineering may be required for your project depending on the scope of work. If required, this will be sent to each engineer respectively, additional fees may apply. Any required structural engineering has a base rate of $1200. Typically projects are running in the ballpark of $2.5/sqft - $5/sqft, but greatly depend on size, quality, and complexity of your particular project.
If you receive an invoice, please submit payment within 30 days. Failure to pay within this time period is subject to a 2.5% late fee per every 30 days past due. A 3.5% credit card processing fee will be applied.
